About Me

After receiving my first massage, I thought I had found the Fountain of Youth!  I felt rejuvenated, and could move in ways I hadn't been able to for years.  After just one session, I experienced restored range of motion in my neck, and full flexibility in my spine.  I felt improved circulation in my feet and legs, and liked how they felt lighter than air!  It took only four sessions to make a true believer in massage out of me, and I became committed to sharing the benefits of massage with others.

I graduated from The Advanced Fuller School of Massage Therapy (Virginia Beach, VA) in 2002, and became a nationally and state certified massage therapist.  Shortly after beginning my practice, I enrolled in Neuromuscular classes in DC, while concurrently studying Upledger's Craniosacral curriculum in Reston, VA.  After taking the NMT Boards (Charlottesville, VA) in 2005 and becoming certified in Neuromuscular Therapy, I continued to pursue advanced studies by taking courses in Lymphatic Drainage (Baltimore and Detroit) and in Orthopedic Massage through University of Richmond.

In 2012, I retired from public education, and am now the owner of Center 4 Massage Therapy, where I first began my massage therapy career.  I recently transitioned from being Nationally Certified to being Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.  I believe massage can make a difference in how we feel, and plays a vital role in our overall health.  I invite you to come and receive, and to experience for yourself the wonderful benefits of massage.
